Biography

Barely more than a teenager, I started experimenting photography and darkroom with my father, always dedicating more and more time and energy to this passion. During my university studies at the Faculty of Architecture in Florence, the will to turn photography into a career, in the late 90s, led me to move to Milan to attend the IED photography school. Than, the opportunity to work as photographer assistant to Industria Superstudio opened me the way to knowledge and travel allowing me to reach professional maturity by collaborating with well-known international photographers in Italy, Paris, London, New York, Miami and Toronto.
Since 1995, freelance photographer in the field of commercial, industrial, portrait, documentary photography and in parallel also production coordinator on national and international projects.

About 14 years ago, I came back to my hometown Pisa to raise my family and
I have been a burning desire to instill culture and traditions values in my own children rediscovering with them the Historical Events of Pisa and Italy.
This experience has marked my photographic and video explorations in the cultural and documentary field giving life to a photographic mission, an intense and emotional journey through time where history, traditions, culture and sport are represented by many historical Italian events and narrating of people's historical and cultural identity.

Four years ago, collaborating both as producer coordinator and operator for VR shooting on the worldwide documentary project "Anthropocene: The Human Epoch", has boosted professional growth leading me to become drone's operator and pilot.

To this day, parallel to my work as photographer and film maker, I'm involved in two of my cultural and documentary projects: the first named "From the Republics to the Republic" relating to the Italian Historical Event for excellence, the Historical Regatta of the Ancient Maritime Republics which has reached its 9th year of documentation; the second, also thanks to the use of drones, called "The Mounts Voice" related to over a year long documentation of environmental disaster caused by the two arson for a total of about 2000 hectares burned among olive-groves and forests on Mount Pisano (in the province of Pisa).
