The documentation project of the Arena Garibaldi - Romeo Anconetani Stadium wants to capture the nuances and contrasts sometimes dreamlike, that distinguish it in its genre. The project follows the will of creating a historical document of the building and the supporters who have always lived it; the deep relationship with the urban structure of the city.
Despite its age and obsolescence, a fascinating treasure trove of the city's football dreams.
Today, after years of uncertainty and bureaucracy the first stages of restructuring and redevelopment of the stadium and the Porta a Lucca district are underway. It reached the final and necessary bureaucratic steps through the Municipal Administration; the restyling project will shortly pass into the Pisa Sporting Club hands for the operational part.
